Both flags feature vertical stripes of blue, yellow, and red. The only subtle difference lies in the shade of blue; Chad uses a darker indigo, while Romania employs a lighter cobalt blue, often making them indistinguishable to the casual observer.

The flag of the Central African Republic is unique, featuring horizontal stripes of blue, white, green, and yellow, intersected by a vertical red stripe. The yellow stripe symbolizes the sun and generosity, while the red represents the blood shed for freedom and the bond between all Africans.

The three dolphins represent endurance, unity, and strength, leaping in a circle to symbolize movement and progress. The white background signifies peace and tranquility, while the blue base represents the Caribbean Sea and faith.
