Last updated: March 29, 2026
1. Overview
Factcovery ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to the factcovery.com website and the Factcovery mobile application (available on Google Play and Apple App Store), collectively referred to as "the Service".
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When using the mobile app, we may collect the following during onboarding:
- Language preference — to display content in your preferred language
- Theme preference — light, dark, or system mode
- Topic interests — topics you choose to follow
- Notification preferences — your chosen notification schedule
No personal information such as name, email, or phone number is required.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifier — a randomly generated anonymous device ID used for authentication. This is not linked to your personal identity.
- Usage data — anonymized event data such as page views, fact views, swipe interactions, topic clicks, and share actions via Firebase Analytics.
- Advertising identifier — used by advertising SDKs to serve relevant ads (Google AdMob, Facebook Audience Network).
- Crash and performance data — to identify and fix technical issues.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver personalized content based on your followed topics and language
- Improve the Service through anonymized analytics
- Display advertisements to support free access to the Service
- Send push notifications based on your chosen schedule (mobile app only)
- Measure advertising performance (ROAS tracking)
4. Analytics — Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how users interact with the Service. Firebase Analytics collects anonymized event data such as page views, session duration, and in-app actions. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected or stored.
On the website, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
For more information, see Firebase Privacy and Security.
5. Advertising
5.1 Website — Google AdSense
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense (Google LLC). Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other sites on the internet.
5.2 Mobile App — Google AdMob
The mobile app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads. Ad types include banner ads and interstitial (full-screen) ads.
5.3 Facebook SDK
The mobile app uses the Facebook SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc.) for advertising attribution and return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) measurement. The Facebook SDK may collect install attribution data and ad revenue events. No personal profile information from Facebook is accessed.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, aboutads.info, or adjusting ad preferences in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Advertising on iOS, Settings > Google > Ads on Android).
6. Data Storage & Security
- Website: Preferences (dark mode, language) are stored locally in your browser using cookies and localStorage.
- Mobile app: Preferences (theme, language, liked facts, notification settings) are stored locally on your device. Authentication tokens are stored securely on-device.
- All data transmission between the Service and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
- We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties, except as described in this policy (analytics and advertising providers).
7. Cookies (Website)
Our website uses cookies to remember your dark/light mode and language preferences and to support the analytics and advertising services described above.
You can control cookie settings in your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
8. Push Notifications (Mobile App)
The mobile app may send push notifications with new facts based on your chosen schedule. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings screen or in your device's notification settings.
9. Third-Party Links

Since we only collect anonymous data without personal identifiers, most data cannot be linked back to you individually. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
