Mountaineering

Standing at 4,466 meters (14,652 feet), Mount Bazarduzu is part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range. Its name translates to "market square" in Turkic, possibly referring to a historical trading post at its base, and it attracts experienced mountaineers.

The extreme altitude, freezing temperatures, and treacherous terrain make it incredibly difficult and dangerous to retrieve bodies. Many serve as grim markers or warnings for ascending mountaineers.
